Been a while

It has been 8 months....but I finally got some mojo back! It felt really good to do some scrapping, I have some other projects that I want to get working on like a Magnetic board for above my scrap desk, some canvas art, and a some more scrappy pages. But, for now, this is will have to do. School take up a lot of my time as well as taking care of my kiddos and I have been trying to give them more of my undivided attention and so scrapping and whatever else takes a back seat.

I am a HUGE fan of Wendy McKee and her stuff and so because I needed a birthday card really fast, I lifted this from her. I loved everything about it but I used pearls instead rhinestones. Is it not a lovely design?! IF you haven't seen her stuff or heard of her, seriously nice gal and awesome work! Go check it out!

A few weeks ago I went into Michaels and saw some really cute tiny pot with fabric flowers (very similar to the one I made in the photo) and they were around five to ten dollars, I thought it was too much for the size of the item. I figured I could make something myself, bigger, and to go in Cali's room. I had some felt, pots, and some other fabric and such at home just laying around so I gathered them up, cut out some cardstock hearts and a leaf shape with my Silhouette in different sizes. After some tracing, cutting, stitching, painting, and gluing. I slapped some foam into the pot, threw in some rose ribbon as grass and I had my own flower a lot bigger then the ones in Michaels and for free!

I am working on painting a canvas for the den and then have an idea for one for my bedroom that I will get to when I get the chance. For now it is here a little there a little. So until then, I have homework to do and finish reading a book for book club. Ciao, for now.

I can finally share!!!

I can finally share my January layouts for Lollipop Press! We had to wait as a few of our DT gals were published in the January issue of Gingerscraps Magazine by ScrapStreet. I was fortunate to have a layout chosen for the article! The new lines are Chic & Shabby and Woodland Winter. I loved both of these lines as they contain purple, so versatile, and darling!

The layout that was chosen to be published is a special one to me. It is the first picture of my mother and sisters since my littlest siste (the blonde) was two or three, as well as the fact that all of us are closer than ever!

Here are two layouts I have done with these two line. I will show more later in the week as they show up on my main blog during the Lollipop Press blog hop.

Chic & Shabby- This is my little cutie pie Cali. She loves to swing on the swings at her grandparents house when we vist. She can sit there all day on the swings, she just loves them. Isn't she cute?! I know I am biased but that smile makes me melt!

Woodland Winter- I really an counting on this year being filled with a lot of Peace this year, especially in my household. I am focusing this year on my oldest two kids to stop bickering and be kind, loving, and peaceful! Hopefully your year is too!

Well, that is all for now! Hope your joining us in the blog hop!!!

Bit of news and eye candy

So I didn't tell anyone but I applied for a design team and made it! I made it onto the Lollipop Press design team! Lollipop Press is a new digital scrappy company by the awesome, Amber Winward! I am very thankful and so excited! I have an opportunity to design with her and with her products! I have been dabbling in the digi world for a couple of years now, though I still love to get my hands dirty so to speak with paper but I am having lots of fun playing in the digi stuff. Here are a few layouts I have created with her products! So head on over to the site and blog and grab a kit for yourself!

Here is a layout with the December line: Santa Baby. I have a few more in the works so as soon as I am done with them I will post them! Until next time...
